Take in The Sights - 11 / 25 - Magic Stick

The Sights are back in action - the blues-driven soul/psyche-rock collective that soared along with all the other now "classic" "garage-bands" of Detroit ala 2000-02 - has gone through some changes - chief amongst them being membership - as it is still propelled by singer/songwriter Eddie Baranek, but now features Dave Lawson (of the Pop Project) on bass, Gordon Smith (of Divine Comedians) on guitar/keyboards, and Skip Denomme (on drums), thus ensuring that "the legacy marches on..."

This month, the band sees the release of its fourth LP, the intriguingly titled: Most of What Follows is True, fairly close to the 10th anniversary of The Sights first LP.

The big coming out party is this Thanksgiving-eve, 11/25 at the Magic Stick. Featured for this celebration are veteran garage-pop slingers SSM, with the always-charming Beggars - and the Barrettes.

In the meantime - the Sights hit the rustbelt - on tour...
