the edge...and the ones who have gone over (Awesome Fest tonight, tomorrow and Sunday

It hit me, bluntly, at the end of the Rogue Satellite's set, as I stumbled slightly into the gutter of the bowling lanes that led to the stage, the catchy chorus over danceable rhythms prophesied, "We're gonna feel like shit to-morrow..."

And, so I do..., and so, that was a sturdy set by the duo, as were many of the sets last nite, the opening ceremonies for the Fucking Awesome Fest. Some of us still had to work oppressively early this morning, which meant any who embraced last night's festivities too recklessly, will be feeling worn and weak through the day today...

In my first 25 minutes of being there, I heard eight songs from four different bands...

What do you think so far?
And how are you this morning?

And still...the show goes on tonight...

Thunderbirds Are Now headline the Magic Stick at 1pm, ahead of Juiceboxxx
Lightning Love will close out the Cafe (which had notably good sound last nite, particularly for Wildcating), with Office rootin' around the former restaurant-space a little earlier.
Pop Project, Javelins, Human Reunion (Dayton OH) and the Mahonies can also be caught in the Garden Bowl (bounced between the bar and the lanes). One only hopes the madness of the Mahonies can be framed out on the somewhat outrageous musical setting of the lanes...

But whatever works...

take care
