Book Party - 1 / 21 - Emory (The Tender Bar)

Time for one more book party hosted by The Ferndale Public Library and The Emory (Troy and Woodward) - as they get closer and closer to facilitating a community-wide-book club for Dashiell Hammett's The Maltese Falcon - The idea: come drink one free cocktail or brew, on the house --if you show your library card, get loose with some new friends and discuss a book that, hopefully, you've read before showing up (or bring it with you and flip through it at the bar). Next week, Thursday - Jan 21, as we hang out and toss a few back between pages, getting comfortable discussing books with one another - we'll talk about J.R. Moehringer's The Tender Bar, a cozy and engaging read for any of us who (might need to be comforted for certain habits, like) visit(ing) the local watering hole a few times a week - as a haven, as a living room, as a source of rejuvenation.
