I know some of you have Thursday off - or at least are planning on coasting through that day...- why not kick up your heels a bit on Thursday evening at the Crofoot.
Warm up with the golden toned acoustics, sunburst guitars and sweet harmonies of indie-pop collective Light In August - as they herald the release of their latest LP, Sweater Weather. LIA singer/songwriter Alex Wand has been teaching music (akin to School of Rock instruction via a high school Rock Ensemble) out in California. Wand and LIA returns to town to pay homage to his group's original home, SE-Michigan, and nod to the blustery, character-building winter ways of their home state.
Their joined by Gun Lake in the Pike Room.
