For the amorphous indie-music world, 2007's Person Pitch, by Panda Bear (one-third of Animal Collective) was...kind of a big deal...some propping it in hyperbolic verbiage deserving of the 2nd coming of Pet Sounds... and maybe it was for the blissfully-fuzzed-out atmospheric-groovers-and-shakers.
Such fervor has lead to the ears of the internet already bending upward, awaiting for Pitch's follow up, Tomboy...which isn't slated for release until mid-April.
That said, Noah Lennox (a.k.a. Panda Bear) has returned to his studio in Lisbon to craft a follow-up (having focused recently more-so on Animal Collective-related affairs). Just like <-that band's ubiquitous summer jam from 2009, My Girls, Panda Bear's new MP3 relies on a langorious, bass-gurgled little shimmy that hooks back with this instantaneously catchy hand-clap -while we get this drifting melodic ballad that not only pares back disorienting delay effects but also is arrayed with quite a bit of words, comparably more expressive than the 1 or 2-sentenced looped lyrics from some of Pitch's entries... Anyhow... Paw Tracks is offering a glimpse:
